Calling all Warwick junior sporting stars.

In the wake of Australia’s amazing performances at the Olympics and Paralympics, UKL Innovative Developments, the developer of local residential subdivision Aleva Estate, has been inspired to provide a head start to Warwick’s most promising sports stars of tomorrow.

UKL today announced the launch of its new community sponsorship program, Building Futures, which will provide a series of cash donations to support the athletic endeavours of local juniors.

UKL Director Mr Terry Seirlis, said he was turning his hand from building homes to building futures as sport was a big part of family life in Warwick and was home to many junior athletic stars.

“Like most Australians, I was inspired by our Olympians and Paralympians, so I decided to set up a sponsorship program to help Warwick’s budding athletes to achieve their sporting dreams,” Mr Seirlis said.

“With Brisbane Olympics 2032 coming our way, we are offering junior athletes in Warwick the chance to win a $5,000 main cash prize with $2000 and $1000 available for minor placegetters who finish on the podium.”

Mr Seirlis invited participants from all local sports to apply via the Aleva Estate website www.alevaestate.com.au with applications open for the entire month of September. A top 12 short list of nominees will be invited to an awards dinner at the Hawker Road function centre on Friday 29 October where the winners will be announced.

“Please visit our website and lodge your applications. Warwick has become like a second home to my family and I, and we want to support and see the local community grow in the same way it has supported Aleva Estate and helped it to grow,” Mr Seirlis said.

Warwick District Football Association’s secretary, Mr Peter Darton, said he believes as a program that encourages kids to play and excel at sport, Building Futures is just what Warwick needs.

“There is a great opportunity here for local athletes and we wholeheartedly support any program that gets kids out from behind their desks and getting active,” Mr Darton said.

“I would recommend that anyone and everyone who wants to achieve greater things applies for the program, I know a lot of players from our association will be,” he said.
